Questions
Common Questions About Contacting Us
How do I get started?
Use Hire Us Now to pick your matter, send the form above, or call (716) 646-8570 (toll-free (888) 685-0551). For DWI and bankruptcy, we start with a consultation.
Where do you take cases?
Uncontested no-fault divorce is offered in every county in New York, mostly by phone and online. DWI defense and personal bankruptcy are offered in Western New York. Our only office is in Williamsville.
Uncontested divorce: what does the $850 cover, and how do I pay?
$500 attorney fee plus $350 in court filing fees (Index Number $210, Note of Issue/RJI calendaring $125, Certificate of Dissolution $5). An additional $500 attorney fee may apply depending on circumstances. In the Client Portal you answer two quick questions, agree to the Retainer Agreement, and pay through Stripe, then continue with the guided questions.
DWI: what are your fees?
Our fixed attorney fee is $3,000 for a first-offense DWI with no aggravating factors and $6,000 for a second-offense DWI. Court fines, surcharges, DMV fees, ignition interlock costs, and required programs are separate. We confirm at your consultation which fee applies. Use the form with DWI selected or call us; DMV and court deadlines can come within days. See DWI fees.
Bankruptcy: what are your fees?
Chapter 7 is $1,788 total ($1,450 attorney fee + $338 court filing fee). Chapter 13 is $4,513 total ($4,200 attorney fee + $313 court filing fee). The consultation is free. Credit counseling and debtor education courses are separate. See bankruptcy fees. We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
When should I pay?
For DWI and bankruptcy, please pay only after your consultation and after you have signed our written engagement agreement. For uncontested divorce, pay through the Client Portal after you agree to the Retainer Agreement. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; no card details are collected on this website.
Does contacting you or paying online make you my lawyer?
No. Contacting the firm, sending the form, or paying online does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship. That begins only when the firm accepts your matter and confirms the engagement in writing. Please do not send confidential information until then.
What happens after I pay?
Stripe returns you to our Client Portal, where you create your account. The firm then contacts you about next steps for your matter.
